On Monday, May 26th, 2025, the annual general meeting of Willkommen in Berlin took place at the Visitor Center of the Federal Foreign Office. This year, the main focus was the election of a new board, which will lead the club for the next two years.

The outgoing board began by reflecting on a vibrant club year filled with exciting events, inspiring encounters moments, and a variety of trips. Each board member gave a report on their area of responsibility, highlighted ongoing projects, and outlined plans for the future. A lively and open discussion followed, during which many topics were explored and new ideas for the upcoming club year were shared.

On behalf of the board, President Katja Heusel and Vice President Karla Steinert-Thys expressed their heartfelt thanks to everyone present for their continued commitment and valuable support over the past year. The members formally discharged the board from its responsibilities and acknowledged its dedicated work and achievements.

A new board was appointed following the subsequent election: Karla Steinert-Thys will take over as President, with Katja Heusel succeeding her as Vice President. Also joining the team are Gladys Abankwa-Meier-Klodt, Christine Hatakka, Olivia Nikel and Nita Isnaeni-Waeber. Ulla Braumann and Katharina von Aretin will continue to serve in their current roles.

With fresh energy and many new ideas, Willkommen in Berlin looks forward to the coming club year.
