Day Trip to Lübbenau castle
At the end of the club year, our journey led us to Lübbenau Castle, a beautiful destination ideal for an excursion. We immersed oursevles in the historical ambiance and impressive architecture for an entire day.
Count Rochus zu Lynar, the owner of Lübbenau Castle, graciously provided us with an in-depth understanding into the estate’s rich history. Our journey commenced with a guided tour of the church, followed by fascinating insights about the building’s past, which is now serving as a hotel and a venue for weddings and other events. In this magnificent castle, surrounded by picturesque nature, we enjoyed a delightful lunch of typical Spreewald specialties.
To unwind, we went on a boat trip with one of the traditional punts, traversing the idyllic network of canals that constitute the Spree River Delta. While on board, we were treated to coffee and cake. This journey offered an interesting blend of history and nature, which resonated particularly well with our international guests.
