Sylt thrillers from the capital city

In 19 May 2022, the executive board of Willkommen in Berlin together with the WIB Book Club invited the members to a reading and fireside chat at the Literaturhaus Berlin. Author Eva Ehley presented her ninth newly published Sylt crime novel: Böser Farewell. With her lively, humorous manner, the crime novelist shared her life story how she became a writer and how her works provide the interesting insights into her life.

Born and raised in Berlin, she studied German and mathematics and worked as a teacher. However, in her stories she tells us about things that you do not learn in school. Her Sylt thrillers are the classic whodunnit thriller. They are not only cult on the North Sea. Ehley's novels have won many awards, including the Agatha Christie Crime Prize. Dr. Jana Heilmaier, the group leader of the WiB Book Club, was the moderator for this exciting literary event. SShe made a short introduction about the life history of the author, whose real name is Sabine Alt and who is also a member of Willkommen in Berlin. Sabine uses the pseudonym Eva Ehley following the recommendation of her publisher.

Around twenty ladies were enthusiastically attended the interesting afternoon event. Not only they enjoyed the gathering with cool drinks and delicious cookies, they also had the opportunity
to have the new book signed by the author herself.
