Once again, the WiB Executive Board invited the club members to a day trip to HANNOVER MESSE. The world’s leading trade fair for industry attracted 4,000 exhibitors from all over the world and this year’s partner country was Indonesia. The theme of the exhibition was Industrial Transformation under the headline banner “Making the Difference” presenting mechanical engineering companies, electrical and digital industries as well as the energy sector displaying the newest technologies and solutions for the network and climate-neutral industries.

A friendly young man named Luc met the WiB members upon arrival and the group was warmly welcomed by Mr. Andrej Gross, the Senior Government & Public Affairs Specialist Deutsche Messe AG. During the interesting tour through the exhibition halls, WIB members have learned about various trending topics such as Artificial Intelligence and digitalization, and viewed the latest exciting developments and products. It is amazing how time progresses and the artificial intelligence will soon surpass human intelligence.

After the tour, the WiB members had a nice lunch in a relaxed atmosphere with Mr. Gross. The group made one more stop at one stand before heading back to Hannover train station. On the ICE train back to Berlin, everyone continued to talk about the visit and shared their impressions about the exhibition.
