The group meeting on 14 January 2020 took place in Wedding district. The walk covered interesting places such as Bunkerberg Volkspark Humbolthain, the Court of Justice Wedding with its imposing building, the Mitte Museum which is the regional history museum of Mitte district, and Luisenbad which nowadays becomes a library.
Another unique place we visited was Pianosalon Christophori in the Uferhallen. It is a semi-abandoned garage decorated with colorful old couches and chairs, restored historical concert grand pianos, pictures of musicians, old lamps and hanging chandeliers that transmit a charm of a cozy flea market. Not only young musicians are invited to present their work in this “garage”, but internationally renowned artists have played and performed here. Right outside the property, there is an “old bus cafe” where one can enjoy lunch or dinner inside. Despite the cold season, the group had a great walk for two hours and spent a nice time together.
