Visit to Helmholtz Zentrum Adlershof

On 25 February 2019, Unknown Berlin group visited the Helmholtz Center Berlin for Materials and Energy. The scientific research center of the Federal Government and the State of Berlin was founded in 1956/57 under the name Institute for Nuclear Research Berlin. The group had the opportunity to get acquainted with Bessy II, the synchrotron radiation source that generates bright light for researching energy and materials. They were also invited to do some experiments with light at the student laboratory. Not only it was a fun activity, they also earned compliments for being remarkably smart participants by Ms. Witte, who took us to a tour in Helmholtz Center.
