Origami with English Conversation
Our meeting on 13 February 2017 with the theme ‘Handwork with English Conversation’ has left a lasting impression on many of us. Tomomi Iwama and Mari Fujiyama, our gracious Japanese members, introduced us to the world of Origami, which is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding for all generations. Our international group of ladies were fascinated by the intricate paper folding techniques and inspired by the beauty of the finished paper models. After this wonderful hands-on and minds-on activity, everyone had the chance to speak about her country’s handwork or artwork that is so creative.
Our special thanks go to Mari and Tomomi for their perfect organization and very warm hospitality.
