On 27 April 2022 H. E. Dr. Sneźana Jankovic invited the members of the group "Embassies and Residences" to the embassy of the Republic of Serbia for the first event after the pandemic. We learned about the rich culture, history and beauty of Serbia. The landlocked location characterized by hills and high mountains in its central body; the Kapaonik Mountains, the Carpathian mountains - vast natural beauty. We also learned about the far-reaching history and the enormous economic success of the capital Belgrade. From Serbia’s second largest city, Novi Sad, also known as “Serbian Athens”, we learned that it was elected European Capital of Culture for one year to commemorate its contribution to the richness and diversity of cultures in Europe. Serbian traditional dancing and singing was beautifully performed in traditional costumes.
We concluded the evening with discussions and gorgeous "Serbian Soul" food and thank H. E. Dr. Sneźana Jankovic for a memorable, happy evening in Serbia!
