As the first event in the new club year, the 16 Federal States visited the Red Town Hall at the invitation of the first woman Governing Mayor of Berlin, Franziska Giffey. She greeted numerous diplomatic guests with welcome handshakes in a friendly and open manner. The unique model of the Red Town Hall built from Lego bricks received admiration from the WiB members.

In her opening remarks, Franziska Giffey described the current challenges that the city Berlin is facing and gave a brief insight into her everyday work routine as a government officer. The WiB members were delighted to have many photos with the Governing Mayor and engage in interesting conversations. Afterwards, three competent guides walked us through the eventful history of the building, which was erected in the middle of the 19th century.
