On 1st of June 2026, the Arab-German Cultural Exchange Group, led by Myrna Maakaron, launched the first edition of “In Conversation”, a new event series designed to foster Arab-German and international exchange, encourage meaningful dialogue, and bring together people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

For this inaugural edition, we had the honour of welcoming H.E. Ms. Abir Ali, the Ambassador of Lebanon to Germany, as our first guest. In an engaging conversation, she shared insights into her diplomatic journey, intercultural dialogue, women’s leadership, and Lebanon’s rich cultural heritage. The discussion was followed by a networking reception, where guests from across Berlin connected, exchanged ideas, and strengthened relationships in a warm and engaging atmosphere.

Reflecting WIB’s mission to build bridges between cultures and communities, “In Conversation” will continue as an ongoing event series featuring distinguished figures from diplomacy, business, culture, academia, and public life. Through these gatherings, we aim to create opportunities for meaningful exchange, inspiration, and lasting connections across diverse backgrounds. This addition subtly reinforces WIB’s broader mission and establishes a clear identity for future editions of the event series.
