Visit to the Embassy of Guinea

By invitation of our valued member, Safae Hanida Barry and her husband, the Ambassador of Guinea, H.E. Aliou Barry, the WiB members had the pleasure of attending a reception at the newly occupied Embassy of Guinea. In addition to the WiB members, numerous guests from the diplomatic corps were present, particularly representatives from African countries, giving the evening an international atmosphere.

The event began with a group of traditional drummers, whose rhythmic performance welcomed the guests and set a lively tone for the evening. This was followed by a presentation on Guinea, providing general information on the country, its culture, heritage, its role on the international stage. Once the official program concluded, the drummers returned, inviting guests to join in the dancing. One by one, more participants took to the floor, creating a vibrant and convivial atmosphere. The guests were then treated to a traditional buffet featuring a variety of Guinean dishes. The diverse flavors were widely enjoyed, complemented by the warm hospitality of the ambassadorial couple.

Overall, the evening at the Embassy of Guinea was characterized by cultural exchange and social interaction. The reception was well attended and provided an opportunity for members and guests to meet and connect in an informal setting.
