A Glimpse into the Future
On 28 May 2026 the Unknown Berlin group members visited Futurium and were welcome into a space that feels more like a glimpse into tomorrow than a traditional museum. The knowledgeable guide led us through the exhibition with enthusiasm, explaining how it is thoughtfully structured and how it is refreshed with new ideas and content every year, so there is always something different to discover.
The members wandered through the exhibits, where their curiosity was raised through an interaction with a robot animal, which brought plenty of smiles and a sense of wonder. Along the way, they were challenged with thought-provoking questions that sparked lively discussion and laughter in equal measure. Would we be willing to pay six times more for meat if cheap meat no longer existed anywhere in the world? Under what circumstances might we consider leaving our homes if the land were to be renaturalised as part of a global environmental effort?
By the end of the visit, the members left the striking building not only entertained but also inspired, carrying with them fresh and surprising insights, especially about how many different ways there are for each of us to actively shape the future in our own unique way.
