On 6 March 2026, the “Unknown Berlin" group members spent an inspiring evening at the synagogue Pestalozzistraße. The members learned about the circumstances that prevented the building from being completely destroyed during “Progromnacht” (Night of Broken Glass). They also had the opportunity to view the ark containing the Torah scrolls and took part in the Shabbat service. Thanks to the fantastic voices of the cantor and the mixed-gender choir, it was a truly special event!

Following the service, the members had the opportunity to ask questions at a small reception and learn many more interesting facts about the Berlin Jewish community. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meaningful gathering.
