The Cinema group began the club year in September 2024 with an invitation to the 13th International Film Festival in Bad Saarow, which was organized by “Film Without Borders”. We watched outstanding films, got up really close with the stars and directors, and immersed ourselves in the wildly romantic atmosphere in the Kulturscheune. We are thrilled to announce that we will be offering our members to participate in this film festival once again from September 11th to 14th, 2025.

In November, the premiere of “The Marching Band” took place as part of the French Film Week. In January 2025, we indulged in Cinema Aperitivo and watch “The Rosselinis” at Babylon.

February was all about the Berlinale! This year, in 2025, we had the opportunity to offer five premieres of competition films at the Berlinale Palast, two of which were awarded the Silver Bear. 

The following month, we had the pleasure of watching the Oscar-winning film “The Brutalist” at the Arthouse Cinema Il Kino. In April, we went to see “The Last Showgirl”. We attended a screening of “My Place is Here” at Klick Kino in May. Our last cinema event of this club year took place in June 2025, when we watched two films: "The Eight Mountains" and "Strangeness", in the unique setting of the Italian Embassy courtyard, as part of the Grand Tour del Cinema Italiano. 

Sharing these cinematic experiences together was enriching, especially the lively discussions that followed.
