76th Berlin International Film Festival
The Berlinale is over, and we enjoyed it very much! We were able to present five films, including the opening film “No Good Men” by Shahrbanoo Sadat and the Berlinale Special Gala film “Die Blutgräfin” by director Ulrike Ottinger, starring Isabelle Huppert and Lars Eidinger. In “Queen at Sea,” starring Juliette Binoche, British actors Anna Calder-Marshall and Tom Courtenay won the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance.
We also admired the fantastic Sandra Hüller in “Rose,” for which she promptly received the Silver Bear. In addition, we had the chance to see the Golden Bear winner, “Gelbe Briefe” by İlker Çatak. For the first time in more than 20 years, the top prize went to a German film. Although the story is set in Turkey, most of it was filmed in Berlin and Hamburg.
As always, there was a wonderful atmosphere at the Berlinale, which we were able to experience up close. Thanks to our popular meeting point at the HUB, we had an exclusive view of the red carpet, enjoyed some drinks, and the DJ music.
