Behind the scenes at KadeWe
Jacob Tracey, the head chef of Kaufhaus des Westens at KaDeWe, led a private tour of the 7th-floor kitchen for the WIB Sustainability Group. This rare opportunity allowed us to gain a glimpse into the meticulous craftmanship behind the in-house culinary production. We learned about the “author restaurants” and how the company collaborates with exceptional sustainability-minded suppliers.
Afterward, we were welcomed into the exclusive suites for a champagne reception, where elegant petit fours and selected samples from the house's catering range were served. Additionally, prestigious sustainable lifestyle brands and beauty innovations were also presented.
The event was a great success and aligned with the themes our group is currently exploring. It provided us with a unique and insightful opportunity to explore the inner workings of this iconic shopping centre, and we learned about its inspiring efforts in sustainability.
