On March 11th, 2025, the “Sustainability” group of Willkommen in Berlin met at the residence of the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda for an event that is perfectly in line with Willkommen in Berlin's commitment to promoting sustainable initiatives. 

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Maura Oerding from Angelique's Finest Coffee presented the products of a women-run coffee cooperative in Rwanda. This supports more than 2,000 women farmers, enabling them to bring their high-quality, locally produced coffee to the European market. By buying this coffee, you can make a positive difference and support the cooperative's principle of “trade, not aid”.

Mrs. Jeanne Ndatirwa, the wife of the Rwandan Ambassador, echoed this message and emphasized Rwanda's leading role in promoting gender equality and women's economic empowerment through inclusive and sustainable development.
