The German Intermediate group meeting was held on 9 February 2026 - the perfect time for Carnival season. Carnival, Fastnacht, Fasching was the topic of discussion: where it comes from and how it’s celebrated. Being a very creative bunch, the group members did some crafting themselves, creating masks in the style of the Venetian Carnival. The results were fantastic! They also found a new favorite word: "Heissklebepistole“ (hot melt glue gun).

The group wrapped up the day with a hearty stew in true German tradition and “Pfannkuchen”, which in Berlin - unlike in the rest of Germany - must never be referred to as “Berliner”!
