Two important WiB events took place consecutively on 14 June 2023 at the Federal Foreign Office: the annual general meeting and the election of the new Executive Board 2023-2025. After the welcome remarks by the outgoing president, Christine Hatakka, the nice trips and many interesting group and club events during this club year was presented. In this occasion, the amended bylaw of the club was presented by the bylaws committee and approved by the members. With special applause, the active and supporting WiB members thanked the outgoing executive board for their work and great commitments.

The election of the new executive board was awaited with great anticipation. Katja Heusel, the candidate for the new WiB President, introduced herself through a video presentation from Toronto followed by the introduction of the rest of the candidates in front of the WiB members. The election that consisted of several ballots was well and effectively organized by the active WiB members. While waiting for the results, the WiB members spent the time catching up on each other’s life events over coffee, cakes and delicious finger food.

Following are the new members of the WiB Executive Board 2023-2025: Katja Heusel as President, Karla Steinert-Thys as Vice President,  Katharina von Aretin, Monika Sachs-Wilde, Bernadette Ruff, Lavinia Thanapathy, Ulla Braumann and Gülru Özcelik-Schindler.
