The WIB Presidium invited its members to a two-day club trip on 27 to 28 April 2023 to Einbeck, which is known for the half-timbered houses and the beer. The WiB members took the ICE train from Berlin through Göttingen heading to the former Hanseatic city in the southern Lower Saxony, where Mayor Dr. Sabine Michalek had waited and welcomed the group warmly.

During the tour through the historic old town, the WiB members admired the colorfully decorated half-timbered houses that were marvelously restored. The nice dinner took place at the cosy restaurant "Genuss.Werkstatt" which is a part of the trendy design hotel “FREIgeist” with cosy ambience where the group stayed. Another highlight was on the agenda for the next morning: a visit and guided tour of the PS.Speicher museum, which is located right next door and houses Europe's largest collection of classic cars. The next program was a visit to KWS Saat SE, the world's fourth-largest seed producer in terms of sales of agricultural crops. A guided tour through the premises and a lunch rounded off the interesting trip before the vintage bus took us back to Einbeck station.
