The first German Conversation group meeting this winter took place on 15 November 2022 at Katharina von Aretin’s home. Sitting around her beautifully arranged breakfast table, everyone got to know each other and talked about living in Berlin.

The second meeting was organized during the Advent season on 28 November where the members enjoyed the homemade biscuits with the candlelight accentuating the warmth of Advent in Berlin. The group discussed the Christmas traditions in Germany and in our members’ home countries. The members learned the various customs but mostly, everyone felt united by many similarities and the common traditions. The members of the group are looking forward to seeing each other very soon in the upcoming year for more lively and enlightening conversations!
